Our next autumn talk takes place on Saturday 10 October at 11am in Buswells Hotel. It will be less of a talk and more of a recital. Our chairperson, James McCreanor, has arranged for two very fine singers to perform a few of their favourite pieces.
Charlotte Finnegan Quirke is a soprano and is currently studying at the Royal Irish Academy of Music under Dr Imelda Drumm. She has won several awards, most recenty the Percy Whitehead Cup at this year’s Feis Ceoil. She is currently a Trinity College Choral Scholar.
Joining Charlotte is another award winning singer, David O’Carroll. David has won multiple prizes at the Feis Ceoil and music festivals around Ireland. A baritone from County Kildare, he recently graduated from Technological University Dublin after studying under Emmanuel Lawlor. He now continues his studies with Robert Deane.
They will be accompanied by the distinguished pianist and chamber musician Edward Holly. He is the Director of St Peter’s Male Voice Choir in Drogheda and lectures in Technological University Dublin.
